Khajuraho not covered under BharatNet as it targets rural areas

What the government said

• As on 30.6.2026, Katni district has 152 operational GPs, 398 active FTTH connections, 76 PM-WANI hotspots, and 858 Common Service Centres
• Panna district has 66 operational GPs, 703 active FTTH connections, 40 PM-WANI hotspots, and 587 Common Service Centres
• Khajuraho town is not covered under BharatNet as it is implemented in rural areas
• Amended BharatNet Programme approved in August 2023 includes network upgrades, Central and State Network Operating Centres, and quality testing
• 348 government institutions in Katni and 504 in Panna connected using BharatNet
• 6.39 crore individuals trained under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan
• 43 lakh candidates trained by National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology
