What the government said

• Existing amenities include 3 high-level platforms (330m), 3 Foot Over Bridges (FOBs), 5 escalators, 1 lift, and a 120m skywalk.
• Ongoing works include construction of a 100m platform shelter, a new skywalk, 3 additional escalators, 3 additional elevators, a new toilet block, and an additional 6m wide FOB.
• Sanctioned connectivity projects: Kalyan–Badlapur 3rd & 4th Line (₹1,510 crore), Badlapur–Karjat 3rd & 4th Line (₹1,324 crore), and Kalyan–Murbad New Line (₹836 crore).
• Badlapur is served by 148 EMU services, including 78 originating/terminating at the station.
• Central Railway increased car capacity from 12 to 15 cars in 10 EMU services effective 20.07.2026, with 4 of these serving Badlapur.
• 1,340 stations identified for the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, including 132 in Maharashtra; 20 stations in Maharashtra are already completed.
