States/UTs primarily responsible for rural healthcare strengthening, answer states

• The Government of India supports States/UTs through the National Health Mission (NHM) based on annual Programme Implementation Plans (PIP).
• Additional support is provided under PM-ABHIM for an amount of Rs. 32,961.10 Crore.
• Financial assistance of Rs. 59,811.80 Crore was released under XVFC Health Grants for strengthening healthcare systems including rural components.
• For Maharashtra, Central Releases were Rs. 2,729.30 Cr (2023-24), Rs. 2,417.95 Cr (2024-25), Rs. 2,496.92 Cr (2025-26), and Rs. 946.48 Cr (2026-27 provisional).
• For Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Central Releases were Rs. 39.92 Cr (2023-24), Rs. 40.96 Cr (2024-25), Rs. 49.12 Cr (2025-26), and Rs. 4.74 Cr (2026-27 provisional).
