Odisha's health funds show ₹1,916.79 crore released for FY 2024-25

What the government said

• Public Health and Hospitals are State subjects, making State/UT governments primarily responsible for basic health services.
• Financial assistance for FY 2024-25 and FY 2025-26 under NHM, PM-ABHIM, and AB-PM-JAY is provided in an annexure.
• NHM: Released Rs. 1,916.79 cr (FY 24-25) and Rs. 1,760.71 cr (FY 25-26); Utilized Rs. 3,585.01 cr (FY 24-25) and Rs. 4,330.21 cr (FY 25-26).
• PM-ABHIM: Released Rs. 149.05 cr (FY 24-25) and Rs. 137.19 cr (FY 25-26); Utilized Rs. 248.42 cr (FY 24-25) and Rs. 228.65 cr (FY 25-26).
• AB-PM-JAY: Released Rs. 464.92 cr in FY 25-26; State onboarded in April 2025.
• MoU signed in April 2025 for AB-PM-JAY implementation covering 67.80 lakh eligible families.
• As of 25 July 2026, 3.43 crore Ayushman Cards created and 20.52 lakh hospital admissions authorized in Odisha.
• MoU signed in April 2026 by AIIMS Bhubaneshwar for technical support in constructing a 100-bedded hospital at Rairangpur and providing OPD, telemedicine, and emergency services.
• MoU signed on 30 December 2024 for establishing a Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) in Bhubaneswar under PM-ABHIM.
