Palnadu district reports zero CSR expenditure in FY 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2024-25

What the government said

• CSR expenditure in Andhra Pradesh increased from ₹719.81 crore in FY 2020-21 to ₹1,383.52 crore in FY 2024-25.
• In Palnadu district, only two non-PSU companies reported CSR expenditure, totaling ₹38.79 lakh in FY 2022-23 and ₹12.30 lakh in FY 2023-24.
• No asset creation was reported through CSR spending in Palnadu district during the last five financial years.
• Beneficiary-wise CSR data is not maintained centrally by the Ministry.
• The Ministry notified a change on 27.05.2026 adding 'Subscription to zero coupon zero principal instruments on Social Stock Exchange' to Schedule VII of the Companies Act.
• CSR is described as a Board-driven process under the Companies Act, 2013, with transparency ensured through annual filings, CFO certification, and statutory audits.
