Karnataka has 6,805 chargers, but PM E-DRIVE's 5,871 approved chargers uninstalled

What the government said

• FAME-I: Rs. 895 crore allocated, released, and utilised; 2,81,412 EVs supported.
• FAME-II: Rs. 11,500 crore allocated, Rs. 10,163 crore released/utilised; 16,71,606 EVs supported; 5,297 e-buses deployed; 9,583 charging stations installed.
• PM E-DRIVE: Rs. 10,900 crore allocated, Rs. 2,322 crore released/utilised; 26,54,172 EVs supported; 14,000 e-buses allocated.
• Karnataka specific data: 2,67,127 EVs supported under PM E-DRIVE; 4,500 e-buses allocated for Bengaluru; 1,571 chargers approved.
• No state-wise or district-wise targets are set under PM E-DRIVE; funds are allocated on a pan-India basis.
• ₹2,000 crore allocated under PM E-DRIVE for EV public charging stations (EVPCS) on a pan-India basis.
• ₹780 crore allocated for modernizing four testing agencies (ARAI, ICAT, NATRAX, GARC).
