• Kavach Version 4.0 commissioned on 2,633 Route Kilometres as of 31.07.2026.
• Approximately 470 Route Kilometres (Vadodara-Virar, Gaya-Sarmatarn, Jn Cabin-Palwal) were commissioned on 30.01.2026.
• Kavach trials at 160 kmph were successfully held on the Chipyana Buzurg - Tundla section with a Vande Bharat Trainset.
• Track-side Kavach implementation work has been taken up on 21,794 Route Kilometres.
• Funds utilized on Kavach works up to June 2026 amount to Rs. 3,875 Crores, with an allocation of Rs. 2,066 Crores for 2026-27.
• Consequential train accidents reduced from 135 in 2014-15 to 16 in 2025-26 (an 88% decrease).
• Safety-related expenditure increased from Rs. 39,200 Crores in 2013-14 to Rs. 1,20,389 Crores in 2026-27.
