Andhra Pradesh DCCCs: no district-wise fund details in government response

The government responded with a statement laying out these figures and the process for sanctioning new centres.

What the government said

• 524 Day Care Cancer Centres (DCCCs) are currently functional across the country.
• DCCCs were envisaged to be established in District Hospitals across the country in a three-year period, as announced in the Union Budget 2025–26.
• In Andhra Pradesh, 14 DCCCs were approved for establishment during FY 2025-26, and the total number of functional DCCCs in the state is 23.
• An amount of ₹2.40 crore is allowed for the initial setup of each DCCC, and ₹1.49 crore per year is allowed from the second year onwards.
• 313 DCCCs have been sanctioned based on proposals submitted by States/UTs under the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NP-NCD).
