Krishi Nivesh Portal does not automate investment processing or financial checks

The MPs asked the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare to state whether the Krishi Nivesh Portal automates the processing of private agro-industrial investments and to provide details on tracking modules, structural checks, prioritization criteria, financial verification, and projected capital expenditure acceleration.

What the government said

• The Krishi Nivesh Portal is a digital information platform serving as a repository for investment opportunities, scheme information, and eligibility conditions, not an automated processing system.
• 19 schemes/programmes related to agriculture and allied activities have been onboarded on the portal.
• The portal does not automate the processing of investment proposals or the verification of financial capacity/eligibility; these are handled by respective Ministries, Departments, State Governments, and Competent Authorities.
• Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) has sanctioned 2,08,828 projects with a loan amount of ₹93,374.35 crore and investment mobilization of ₹161,537.22 crore as on 15.07.2026.
• e-NAM has registered 1.89 crore farmers and 2.78 lakh traders as on 30th June 2026.
• Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) has sanctioned 1,735 projects with a total project cost of ₹33,163.34 crore as on 30.06.2026.
• Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) has completed 7,97,196 kms of road length since inception.
• MGNREGS has created more than 907 lakh assets from FY 2014-15 to FY 2026-27 (till 30-06-2026).
