1,022 km of high-speed corridors approved but not yet awarded

What the government said

• A total of 10,389 km of National High-Speed Corridors has been awarded, with 4,809 km completed and 5,580 km under implementation.
• The government uses a framework for regular review at project, State, and Central levels, utilizing the PMG portal for technological intervention to identify delays.
• Initiatives to expedite execution include the 'Bhoomirashi' portal for land acquisition, revamping the 'Parivesh' Portal for environmental clearances, and online approval of drawings for Road Over/Under Bridges by Railways.
• A 32 km, 4-lane access-controlled highway connecting Vadhavan Port to the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway and NH-48 has been sanctioned at a cost of Rs. 4,362.39 crore on an EPC mode, and the work has been awarded.
• A total of 1,022 km of National High-Speed Corridors have been approved but not yet awarded, with state-wise details provided in an annexure.
