CAG finds 13.31 lakh JJM tap connections non-functional in Chhattisgarh

• ₹2,220.18 crore in community contributions and ₹1,358 crore in 15th Finance Commission grants were not raised.
• Expenditure on water quality monitoring was ₹40.88 crore, significantly less than the provisioned amount of ₹199.79 crore.
• Only 4 out of 75 water testing laboratories were equipped to test all 13 prescribed water quality parameters.
• None of the 70 Multi Village Schemes were completed as of March 2025.
• CAG recommended the state assess the status of incomplete works, review 'Har Ghar Jal' certification processes, and ensure functional water testing laboratories.
